Hi and welcome back.

It has been a busy week so I’m late on blog posts.

I want to share last Saturday’s meetup group at Milford Photo with you.  We used a technique called scrim lighting.  With a scrim and one speedlight, you can get one light source to look like three.  Here’s a shot of our model with scrim set up.  My SB800 is on the right, the scrim next to it, and a simple reflector on the left.  Photo courtesy of Paul from the group.

Here are a few shots under this setup.

We also used the white backdrop to get almost perfect high key with only one light source.

It is amazing what you can do with the simplest of equipment.

That’s it for now.  Tomorrow I’m meeting with Laurie and our model for the Wedding Workshop for her fitting at Coren Moore’s shop.  Look for a few teaser images soon.

Till next time, happy shooting.
